Industrial top hat aluminising furnace for aircraft components

  • Supplied with 2 working hearths plus parking hearths for the retort and a separate parking hearth for the furnace
  • The furnace incorporates the control within its framework, thus eliminating trailing cables
  • A manually controlled overhead hoist transfers the furnace and retorts to their respective positions
  • Fully compliant with international aerospace standards
  • Designed to operate up to 1100°C under both hydrogen and inert atmospheres
  • Power rating of 150kW - controlled over 3 zones with gas system controlled by PLC programmable logic

Industrial top hat furnace for annealing molybdenum sheets

  • Top hat with retort, hoist and nitrogen/hydrogen atmosphere
  • Maximum temperature: 1000°C (900°C inside retort)
  • The furnace is rated to heat a maximum charge of 360kg of sheets, plus their support trays in the inconel retort to temperatures up to 900°C under atmosphere
  • A full hydrogen/nitrogen gas safety system is provided to ensure nitrogen purge up to 750°C and change over to hydrogen gas for continuation of the process up to 900°C, reverting to nitrogen during cooling from 750°C
  • Maximum power: 75kW

Industrial atmosphere top hat furnace

  • For processing relay components
  • Maximum operating temperature: 1150°C
  • Temperature uniformity: +5°C between 900°C - 1150°C
  • Usable retort volume: 0.4m³
  • Spiral wire elements on 4 sides of chamber
  • Maximum power: 72kW

Industrial top hat furnace for mold firing

  • Designed as part of an ongoing project to increase the use of aluminium alloy castings by the aerospace industry
  • Chamber dimensions : 1000mm x 1000mm x 1000mm
  • Maximum charge weight : 450kg
  • Free radiating resisance wire elements all four sides of the furnace
  • As the furnace is used for both lost wax and plaster moulds, the equipment has to accommodate a wide range of operating temperatures : plaster block moulds (which can weigh up to 200kg) are typically dried at 270°C for up to 70 hours before being filled
  • Ceramic shell moulds are also processed at low temperatures for burn off residual wax - they are then sintered at 1050°C
  • Maximum power : 60kW
  • Controls located in a separate console
