Q. How can I submit information for a custom plastic fabrication quote?

Q. Is there a minimum quantity for a custom plastic fabrication product?
A. Absolutely not. Dynalab is capable of producing anything from a prototype to a high volume production run. |
Q. Do you have an engineer onsite for help with the design of my custom product?
A. Dynalab's custom manufacturing engineer is available to aid you every step of the way from product design to the final production of your piece. |
Q. How long is a general lead time on a custom plastic fabrication product?
A. It varies depending on the complexity of the fabricated product. In general, from the date of agreement on the product requirements one can expect 4 to 6 weeks for final delivery. |
Q. Can metal be chemically bonded to acrylic?
A. Yes it can be. Check out our Custom section under Bonding Plastics to read more about IPS Weld-On® 45 . Also, it is not uncommon to see plastic and metal affixed mechanically. |
Q. If I use acrylic outside will it start to deteriorate over time from the UV rays?
A. Although acrylic generally has good UV resistance, there most likely there would be minimal deterioration. Also there are a number of weather factors that could detract from the quality of the acrylic over time. Polycarbonate offers an excellent alternative for outdoor applications. |
Q. Can I cut plastic on a table saw using the same blade that I use for wood?
A. Many plastics will cut with a standard wood saw blade. However, some will not. Best advice is to ask your nearest power tool dealer as they probably sell saw blades as well. |
Q. Where can I go to purchase sheets of plastic in a variety of sizes at a reasonable price?
A. You should be able to locate a local plastic company that offers raw materials cut to size for a minimal cost. If not, e-mail mrplastic@dyna-labware.com for a sales quote on the materials and sizes you require. |
